Dr. Shahrukh Kureishy, M.D., F.C.C.P., F.A.A.S.M.
Dr. Kureishy has more than 20 years of experience in Pulmonary and Sleep Disorders and is Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Sleep Medicine as well as Internal Medicine.
He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, followed by two years in a Pulmonary fellowship. Along with this, Dr. Kureishy fulfilled a Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, then passed the Sleep Board exams to become a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He practiced in Illinois for five years before moving to Collin County in 2003.
Dr. Kureishy is actively involved in treating patients with state-of-the-art techniques and medications along with participation in clinical trials for COPD and sleep disorders. Outside the office, Dr. Kureishy volunteers at local health fairs and charity clinics in his ongoing commitment to the health needs of the community.
Dr. Ferzana Mir, M.D., F.C.C.P., F.A.A.S.M.
Dr. Mir has over 15 years of experience in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Disorders. Her internship and residency was at Mount Carmel Medical Center, Columbus, OH, followed by a fellowship at University of Texas Health Science Center and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX. Dr. Mir served as Director of Pulmonary Medicine as well as Director of the Sleep Disorders Center, Skaggs Community Health Center, Branson, MO before joining Dr. Kureishy at Metroplex Pulmonary and Sleep Center in 2006.
