At Metroplex Pulmonary and Sleep Center we provide our patients with great service and prompt care. Dr. Shahrukh Kureishy has more than 15 years of experience in Pulmonary and Sleep Disorder. He is Board Certified in Sleep and Pulmonary medicine.

Dr. Kureishy practices Pulmonary Medicine with special emphasis on preventive medicine and patient education on topics like smoking cessation, allergen avoidance, optimal asthma control , screening for lung cancer and emphysema. He has special interest in all areas of sleep medicine; including sleep apnea, snoring, restless leg syndrome and Insomnia. He utilizes state of the art screening and diagnostic modalities and ensures compliance with treatment.

Dr. Kureishy completed his Internal Medicine residency at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, followed by a Pulmonary fellowship. He also completed his critical care fellowship in Kansas City, Missouri and passed the Sleep Boards to become a Fellow of American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He has practiced in Collin County for the past 2 years after moving from Decatur, Illinois where he practiced for 5 years.
